Intangible Adorations Caravan is an immersive, travelling theatrical & film experience, fusing the playfulness of Carnival with science-fantasy biography and performance ritual. As the sound designer for this project, you will work alongside lead artist Lisa Anita Wegner, mentor Deanna H. Choi, directors Yousef Kadoura and Harri Thomas, and be responsible for the conception and execution of sound elements using a combination of pre-existing and newly created materials.
This is a paid mentorship opportunity.
Requirements
- Familiarity with any DAW (Logic, Protools, Ableton, Cubase, Garageband, Audacity) for the creation of and editing of sound cues.
- Prior knowledge of theatre sound design is not necessary, although an appreciation and understanding of live performance are highly recommended.
- The ideal candidate would have a Macbook Pro/Air laptop for rehearsals and tech.

Lisa Anita Wegner is a filmmaker, performer, curator, producer, and founding member of the Akhilanda Collaborative and haus of dada. Her work has been shown at the Phoenix Art Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario, Mayworks Festival, Nuit Blanche and many more. Lisa exhibited writing and photography in Yoko Ono’s ARISING exhibition at The Phi Centre in Montreal and has two photographs in a group show Shame Radiant, with East Window and RedLine Contemporary Art Centre in Denver, Colorado. Lisa is proud to co-produce with Tangled Art + Disability.
