Registrar – Remote

Overview

Recording Arts Canada is a boutique college seeking organized and motivated people to join its student services department.

Working closely with the director of student services, the registrar is responsible for supporting applicants and students throughout their relationship with the college. Academic performance, career planning, financial aid, international study permits, and other general student and alumni support are core components of this role.

Responsibilities

Admissions

  • Monitor applicants’ admissions progress
  • Assist international applicants through the immigration process
  • Prepare and send educational services contracts 
  • Prepare and send invoices
  • Prepare for orientation day and meet with all new students

Student Services

  • Maintain rapport and frequent communications with students
  • Coordinate the student services support staff and work alongside the program coordinator to ensure student success
  • Assist applicants with financial aid simulations and provide financial aid guidance to students
  • Monitor and analyze students’ financial aid files
  • Provide students with academic, administrative, and career support as required
  • Review and prepare invoices and special bills
  • Send and verify grades and verify official transcripts
  • Provide immigration assistance to international students and grads
  • Coordinate course retakes as required
  • Assist in daily management of student processes
  • Coordinate the graduation ceremony

Administration

  • Prepare registrar department reports
  • Monitor accounts receivable, payment plans and bank deposits
  • Manage the Registrar’s database
  • Manage student paper files
  • Review all grades entered into the registrar’s database

  • Knowledge of KPI reporting an asset
  • French second language an asset

Qualifications

  • 1+ years as a registrar administrative assistant, or similar role
