Become a music industry entrepreneur

Gain real, 360 degree experience tackling the hurdles of the modern music industry.


This program is for students who want to understand the way the music business operates within the landscape of today's industry, and develop hands-on experience as a music business entrepreneur in areas like modern media economics, artist management and development, content creation and campaign management, live concert and studio session production, contract analysis, finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship. The Music Business program works closely with the Sound & Music Recording and Electronic Music Production programs to give students maximum opportunities to develop, collaborate, and expand at an accelerated rate, while our concerts, artist collective, and exclusive workshops give students an immediate gateway to the industry.


How will you accelerate your career?

  • You'll receive specialized 360 degree training in music business.
  • You'll manage artists and coordinate the release of an EP.
  • You'll write a business plan, a marketing plan, and design and implement a marketing campaign.
  • You'll manage recording sessions, production projects, and a live concert.
  • You'll network with industry stand-outs and Grammy-winning masters at our exclusive workshops.
  • You'll work with our creator network called RAC Collective.

Workshops

Industry masters, including Grammy-winning producers and engineers, come to RAC to share their knowledge and scout for emerging talent. Featuring seminars, Q&As, cyphers, and mixing and networking sessions, RAC workshops have been host to several Grammy-winning producers, engineers, artists, as well as program hosts, festival programmers, and radio producers.

Publishing & Management Experience

During the curriculum you'll be tasked with coordinating the release of an EP. From managing and planning recording sessions, production projects, and concerts, to promoting, marketing, and managing student artists, you'll be instantly applying what you learn in the classroom to the real world.
