In order to do our part to help slow the spread of COVID-19, workshops in March are cancelled until further notice. If you have signed up for an event that is cancelled we will notify you directly and inform you of future make-up workshops.

Gone are the days when music creators and recording engineers were two separate roles. Music creation tools have never been more accessible, and just look at how that's affected the industry: you'd be hard-pressed to find a music creator that doesn't have some sort of home-studio setup.

As a result, your sound—and the environment in which you capture and refine that sound—is all the more important to your final product than it ever was before.

In this two-hour workshop, we'll cover all the factors that are likely limiting your home studio and look at several key ways you can drastically improve your setup both acoustically and in terms of your workflow. You'll leave the event with a checklist of items you can implement pretty much immediately and notice a drastic hike in your critical listening and production chops

Recording Arts Canada is a sound and music production college with campuses in downtown Montreal and Toronto. We're registered by Ontario's Ministry of Colleges and Universities and by Quebec's Ministry of Education and Higher Education. Canadian students qualify to apply for financial aid, and international students qualify to apply for post-study work permits.
