Montréal is Canada’s second largest city and is also known as Canada’s cultural capital. Acknowledged by several respected publications such as The New York Times, Rolling Stone and Spin magazines, Montréal has gained recognition as a great city for aspiring musical talent. Montréal possesses both an English and French centre for television production, film, gaming, theatre, and radio. When it comes to entertainment, diversity is celebrated in Montréal. Montréal’s diversity and energy has resulted in an influx of new Canadians from all over the world, spreading the “joie de vivre” that Montréalers are famous for.

RAC’s Montréal campus is located in “Old Montréal” which is in walking distance to many of Montréal’s great attractions such as the underground city, Place des Arts, the Old Port, Museum of Fine Arts, the Bell centre, and it’s resonant nightlife. Following in a tradition established by major international events such as the 1967 World Fair and the 1976 Olympic games, Montréal now hosts over 40 large sporting and cultural events. Students at the Montréal campus may gain valuable industry experience by volunteering for any of these music and cultural festivals such as the International Jazz Festival, Just for Laughs comedy festival, Les Francofolies, World Film Festival, Pop Montréal, Osheaga Music Festival, Les Grands Ballets de Montréal, etc. As well as being home to some of the most creative and dynamic cultural organizations such as Le Cirque du Soleil, Ubisoft, EA Montréal, Solotech, CBC Radio, RAC students will be exposed to an abundance of interesting career opportunities after completion of the program.

Toronto is a beautiful waterfront city located on Lake Ontario. It is home to major attractions such as the CN Tower, SkyDome and the Air Canada Centre. It is a city of the arts; home to numerous theatres, galleries, the Toronto International Film Festival, and many bookstores and museums. There is always something happening in Toronto; rain, snow or shine! Toronto is known for its free concert series at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre, various music festivals suchas Canadian Music Week, North by Northeast, Taste of the Danforth or the Beaches Jazz Festival, and of course, its famous nightlife.
