Montréal

To be eligible to attend RAC's Montreal Campus, you must have a Québec Secondary School Diploma or equivalent OR have a combination of experience and/or instruction deemed acceptable by the College AND
Have interrupted their studies for at least two consecutive semesters or one (1) school year
OR be covered by an agreement between the College and an employer or by a government program
OR have pursued postsecondary studies for at least one year.

Application Process:

Step 1

You must submit a completed application form, along with the following documents:

• $50.00 application fee (non refundable)
• A copy of your birth certificate and if you were born outside of Canada, a proof of your legal status in Canada (guidelines)
• Copy of your SIN card (front and back)
• An official copy of your school transcripts
• Official copy of high school diploma or complete a Mature Status Form available at RAC's Admissions Office
• A 500-word summary of your personal, musical, and technical experiences and background, and your reasons for wanting to apply to this program
• An updated Resume / C.V.
• Two Reference Letters (from teachers/instructors/employers)

Step 2

One of our Admissions Officers will contact you when your application is received. If your application package is complete, a selection interview and test will be scheduled. Interviews are conducted in person at the RAC college you are applying to, however, if that is not possible due to distance, alternate arrangements may be made.

Step 3

Following your interview, your application will be submitted to the Admissions Committee for consideration. If you are granted acceptance into the program, an acceptance package will be forwarded to you by mail.

Step 4

The Acceptance package will include a confirmation letter that you must sign and return with a deposit to reserve your seat in the program.

Toronto

To be eligible to attend RAC's Toronto college you must either have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. For those who are currently attending their senior year of high school, you may apply prior to your graduation, however, you must submit your final transcripts as proof of graduation prior to the beginning of your studies at RAC.

If you do not have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, you may apply as a mature student if you have reached the age of 19 years on or before the start of the program and have been out of high school for at least 1 year. All applicants applying as a mature student must write and pass the mature student admission test. For more information about applying as a mature student, please contact our admissions office.

Application Process

• Official copy of your school transcripts or GED test results
• Mature students are required to write Mature Student Test, administered by RAC
• An autobiography (500-word summary of personal, academic, artistic and technical experiences and background
• Updated Resume
• Two Reference Letters (from teachers/instructors/employers)

In addition:

• Game Design applicants must provide their portfolio (three examples of their artwork) and write a 20 minute spatial skills test.  
• Digital Media applicants must write a 12 minute cognitive skills test.

Step 2

An Admissions Officer will contact you when your application is received. If the application package is complete, a selection interview will be scheduled. A government issued photo identification (health cards are not accepted) and SIN card must be presented at the interview to the Admissions Counselor or Registrar. If unable to personally attend the interview, these documents must be presented to the Registrar on the first day of classes.

Step 3

Following the interview, your application will be submitted to the Admissions Committee for consideration. If you are granted acceptance into the program, an acceptance package will be forwarded to you by mail.
