Many students from around the world choose RAC for their professional training. Students from Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, and the Caribbean have chosen RAC as the college to start their careers.
In addition to completing the RAC application, international students - that is, students that are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada — have a few additional steps before they can attend a college in Canada.
Below is the information you need to know as an international student applying to RAC.
You must submit a completed application form, along with the following documents:
All documents must be in either English or French, or accompanied by a certified translation.
One of our Admissions Officers will contact you when your application is received. If your application package is complete, a selection interview and test will be scheduled. Interviews are conducted in person at the RAC college you are applying to, however, if that is not possible due to distance, alternate arrangements may be made.
Following your interview, your application will be submitted to the Admissions Committee for consideration. If you are granted acceptance into the program, an acceptance package will be forwarded to you by mail.
The Acceptance package will include a confirmation letter that you must sign and return with a deposit to reserve your seat in the program.
In addition to the application requirements listed above, International students must submit a completed TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) test result if your first language is not English or French.

In order to apply to RAC in Montreal, Québec students that are neither Canadian citizens nor permanent residents of Canada must obtain a Certificat d'Acceptation du Québec (CAQ) from the Québec government and a Study Permit from Immigration Canada.
Obtaining the Certificat d'Acceptation du Québec takes on average 4-6 weeks therefore, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to RAC as soon as possible. Remember, you will need an official acceptance letter from RAC before you can apply for the CAQ certificate and Study Permit. You may apply for both simultaneously, but must obtain your CAQ before your Study Permit application can be finalized.

Québec law requires U.S. and international students to have medical insurance valid in Québec. Students who have diplomatic status, adequate medical insurance, a Medicare card, or any other valid coverage could be exempt. Proof of medical insurance will be required to obtain an exemption.
